Utility for testing dead pixels
Is there a linux utility/program that will test and show the bad/dead pixels in an LCD screen?

no i don't think so, i can't think of any way the hardware would be able to tell if pixels were dead or not

just make a presentation with white, black, red, green and blue slides, and check yourself for dead pixels
