Hello,
So I've been running Arch for a few months now and I'm more than satisfied with it and it's package manager Pacman.
I had only one question. I come from Zenwalk which uses the netpkg command to mange the packages, though alternatively, there was a mean to install downloaded package without internet connection (ie. I download a package on the net from any computer, and then put it on my zenwalk which was not connected to the internet) using the installpkg command.
I was wondering if there were a way to download package manually and then to install it on arch with pacman (without having an internet connection on arch).
I'm not sure if that's really clear, though I hope someone can throw some light on my Arch way
Thanks in advance !

pacman -U /path/to/package.tar.gz should work, for more info check the man page.
EDIT: If you're using Pacman 2.9.8 use the -A flag instead, it's been deprecated in 3.0.x.

Yes -- you can download packages from mirrors then use pacman -A packagename.pkg.tar.gz to install it

You must be very special then because "letters" has 7

also, be sure to put them in /var/cache/pacman/pkg if there are multiple pkgs including dependencies

Thanks for all !
I'm using pacman 3, so I guess pacman -U will do the job.
