Right mouse button is not working

Hi All:

I recently installed archlinux on compaq presario 700 AP laptop. An annoying feature of this installation has been that I cannot use the right button of the mouse. Here are the contents of the mouse section of the xorg.conf:

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "Auto"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"

Sections on mouse speed setting, baud rates etc are commented out

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"

Option "Emulate3Buttons"

Option Emulate3Timeout" is commented out
Option "Chordmiddle" is commented out

EndSection

I am using xfce4 as my window manager. However, the right mouse does not work in icewm, or when startx command is issued without specifying any window manager.

Would greatly appreciate if you can kindly offer some solutions to the problem.

TIA,
Arin Basu

Re: Right mouse button is not working

For what it's worth, the problem did go away after I upgraded the mouse.

Are you sure it's not broken?
