How to use the laptop battery?
what is the best/most efficient way to preserve or extend life of the laptop battery?
Right now, my laptop is basically a desktop replacement - I never use it mobile, so is it best to always use AC power, or does constantly using AC power have some effect on battery life?
any tips? thanks!

One of most comprehensive resources about batteries I have read is Battery University. As a laptop user, you'd be probably interested in Do and don't battery table and How to charge - when to charge table. Look at Li-Ion column, it applies to Li-Po as well.
In short: charge often, do not let to fully discharge, store 40% charged in cool place.
