[solved] Pageflakes?

Anyone out here using pageflakes.com?  I was using it quite a bit on firefox/macos but it doesn't seem to want to load under Arch with either firefox or konqueror.  Just kinda sits there instead of giving me those cool ajaxy effects and loading the page.  Anyone seen this or know the workaround?  Javascript is enabled..

It's ok for me. I don't use it though. You could use Google's personalised page for much of the same functionality, although it's not as aesthetically lush, nor as community-based.

Re: [solved] Pageflakes?

It's so weird.. I've got arch installed on two different systems and both have the same issue with pageflakes.  iGoogle works and so does Netvibes but I just can't get past this.  So you're saying it works for you?  I wonder if I'm missing a package or something?

Ah, I forgot it's called 'iGoogle'.

I have no idea what could be wrong man; I'm happy enough to test any commands or print out dependencies for you though, so let me know if you want something doing wink

Maybe I'm not helping but PageFlakes looks very cool using my favorite browser.. Opera. Indeed a lot of Ajax-stuff in there.

Re: [solved] Pageflakes?

I'm making some progress.. I think.  I just downloaded BonEcho for Intel OSX and have the exact same problem.  At first I thought it must be Arch specific since it's also happening in Konqueror...

[edit-] ok, it turns out it's the *user agent* of all things.  Installing the user agent switcher extension and then changing my ID to

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US;) Gecko/20060413 Firefox/2.0

works.  Phew!
