No sound on laptop speakers

Hello...

So I have a very small problem... really it's more like a small hindrance than a really troublesome thing (I even did not notice it before...)

Well I run Arch on a laptop (HP pavilion DV 4275) and usually it's on my desktop at home and linked to my hifi system... and the sound goes well...
However the other day I brought iy at my girlfriend's and we wanted to watch a movie and... surprise... There was no sound at all...
I linked it to my girlfriend hifi system... and the sound was there...

So my problem is that I have no sound on my laptop speakers... So if anyone has an idea about how to solve that... I'd be most grateful...

Thanks in advance !

Re: No sound on laptop speakers

That means that the sound on your output is turned up, but you haven't turned up the right setting for your laptop speakers. Either that or they are dead IMO

Re: No sound on laptop speakers

My Pavilion dv6018 had two separate volume controls for speakers and jack-out in pre-2.6.21

Where do you turn up the settings for the speakers ?
(I'm sure they're not dead as they're working on Windows... yeah I know, I still own Windows... bah...)
