openoffice calc hanging

Hi!

I have a problem with openoffice, while other parts seem to work without any problems, calc is unusable. Whenever I try to put any value in any cell or open any spreadsheet the program hangs.
According to trace the last call is always something like

futex(0xa6159bd8, FUTEX_WAIT, 1946, NULL <unfinished ...>

Does anybody know what's the cause for this bug and how to fix it?
