Wine in the System Tray

I have wine working great except for a small problem that I can't seem to find a solution for.  Whenever an application has a system tray icon, it adds it to the KDE system tray applet, and then this reeks havoc on the kicker.  It usually crashes the kicker within a minute or two.  Is there any way to keep wine the old way where it created a small window for the tray?  Any other solutions?

Thanks.

P.S. Arch has been great for the past month.  cool

Re: Wine in the System Tray

i had a similar problem until recently. in my case, there was no tray icon at all.  not in the system tray or floating like it used to.  i fixed it by recompiling the package myself with makepkg.  i just got the PKGBUILD file from the repo, plopped it in a directory by itself, ran makepkg, and used pacman to install the resulting package.  easy!

God i love Arch!
