How come when I upgrade from xgl-0.0.1-20070105 to xgl-0.0.1-20070602 it kills my window title bars and borders?
I'm using Beryl, the nVidia 1.0.9755-5 driver and Gnome. When I originally installed Beryl I didn't get Window decorations (titles, borders, etc.) until I installed xgl. I didn't think I was supposed to have to do that since I had an nVidia card and driver, but it wouldn't work on neither my laptop or desktop without installed xgl (and both have nVidia cards and the same version driver).
Any clues? I downgraded back to xgl-0.0.1-20070105 and got window borders. Upgrade and I don't. Is there something I'm missing? I searched around and haven't found anything (yet).
Help?

That xgl is the one from AUR, right?
If you have an nvidia graphic card you don't need that xgl package. Remove that package from you system and then follow these steps:

Is
"AddARGBGLXVisuals"
added to your "Screen" section in xorg.conf ?

Yup. I went to the Beryl Settings Manager and instead of leaveing things set to "Auto" I purposefully selected the Non-XGL stuff. I then re-upgraded xgl and the borders are still there. I think I will try to remove xgl and see what happens.

OK, xgl is gone. Window borders are still here. Thanks!
