i have installed Arch64 Duke and did these:
pacman -Syu
pacman -S emacs
when i try to run emacs i get this error:
[arnuld@arch ~]$ emacs
emacs: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
what is the solution ?
BTW, i don't see any dependency containing name "asound" in it:

i just installed "alsa-utils" and emacs is working now. it is new version of Emacs 22.1 and it depends on alsa-lib.
quite strange for me

I noticed this while building it, but did not think it would be an issue right at startup, darn. I'll see what I can do to rebuild it without that depend.
