pacman -S gimp-devel tries to install gimpshop

I just enabled the unstable repo on my Arch64 box and tried to install gimp-devel.  It tried to remove gimp, as expected, but it then wanted to install gimpshop...not expected.

I also got the PKGBUILD from ABS and it looks fine.

Anyone else get this?

Re: pacman -S gimp-devel tries to install gimpshop

There was an error when gimp-devel was added to the repo (i686 doesn't have this problem). When the community repo is commented out, I get a
$ sudo pacman -S gimp-devel
error: 'gimp-devel': not found in sync db

It tries to install gimpshop because it has gimp-devel in the provides array. I'll fix it tomorrow.

It works here. What mirror are you using? Can you post your pacman.conf?

Re: pacman -S gimp-devel tries to install gimpshop

Pretty standard pacman.conf with extra, community, and unstable enabled.

#
# /etc/pacman.conf
#
# NOTE: If you find a mirror that is geographically close to you, please
#       move it to the top of the server list, so pacman will choose it
#       first.
#
# To re-sort your mirror lists by ping/traceroute results, use the
# /usr/bin/sortmirrors script.  It requires the "netselect" package.
#

# See the pacman manpage for option directives

Re: pacman -S gimp-devel tries to install gimpshop

To enable the unstable repo, you also need to remove the # in front of [unstable] to have a section like this in pacman.conf

[unstable]
# Add your preferred servers here, they will be used first
Include = /etc/pacman.d/unstable

After fixing your pacman.conf, run
# pacman -Sy gimp-devel
to get the unstable db and install gimp-devel.
