Re: Xfce

Use the group option from pacman. Here is what pacman lists as members of xfce4 group:

pacman -Sg xfce4
xfce4
    gtk-xfce-engine libxfce4mcs libxfce4util libxfcegui4 xfcalendar
    xfce-mcs-manager xfce-mcs-plugins xfce-utils xfce4-iconbox xfce4-mixer
    xfce4-panel xfce4-systray xfce4-themes xfce4-toys xfce4-trigger-launcher
    xfdesktop xffm xffm-icons xfprint xfwm4 xfwm4-themes

You can install them all at once with

pacman -S xfce4

if that's what you want.

Re: Xfce

BTW Arch is i686 optimised distro and you want to install xfce optimised for i486? That's not gonna work - or is it just your mistake ?

Re: Xfce

I have an AMD2400+ with 512mb of memory.
Which one should I install arch-0.6.iso or arch-0.6-base.iso?

Re: Xfce

I find it best to install just the "base" category from the install. I believe this is all that the "base" iso contains. Then install packages only as you need them.

Re: Xfce

No, to DSL you will need base + rp-pppoe (network) + ppp (daemons) + libpcap (libraries).
