Can't change resolution.... xorg.conf seems fine.

Hello,

I'm trying to change the resolution  of my computer from the lowest 640x whatever to simply 1024x768.  As far as I can tell, my xorg.conf is configured correctly, it is set to a default depth of 24 and the depth of 24 has 1024x768 listed.  I think the problem may be that I'm using an older card, and by old, I mean prehistoric.  It is a Riva TNT2 16mb video card.  The Nvidia 71 series modules will accept it and X will start with the nvidia logo and everything, but, the resolution is crappy.  Also if I use the nv driver, the resolution is still crappy.  I've tried both gnome and fluxbox for window managers so it doesn't seem to be a window manager setting that is messing it up.  The console looks pretty on startup, and I think it might even be in 1024x768.

Any ideas to go on?  Sorry I can't paste the xorg.conf, the machine doesn't play well with posting on forums and such since the mouse cursor alone takes up a large amount of the screen.

I don't see any errors, Xorg starts fine, etc.  What else can I do?

Thanks in advance,
e^1

Nevermind, I already fixed it, the syncs were wrong which was throwing everything else off.

Ugh I fixed this like seconds after posting.

Thanks anyway
