My vim and Gvim take really long to start up (~15 seconds) when I start from the console. If I start them with the -X option (don't connect to the Xserver) then they pop right up with no delay. They used to be that fast without the -X , and I'm worried that some of my other app's (evince especially) that take too long to load might be related to the Xserver rather than just being inherently slow. Does anybody have any ideas where to start figuring this out? I'm running Xorg with the nvidia-drivers on the stock kernel and a Nvidia Quadro FX 350 M.
Thanks

Okay, it's connected somehow to running twinview on the fly with nvidia-settings.
