how do i get linux to show and use all the ram i have installed. i realise it is way more than i need. but i want to see it all. i read something about PEA but i think it was related to windows, not linux.
any ideas?

If you're using 32-bit Arch you need to compile the kernel with highmem support (not sure if the Arch provided kernel has it enabled), for 64-bit it should just work (at least I can't find the highmem option when compiling the kernel under 64-bit).
