I hate asking such a questions, but now I just feel I do some silly mistake...
I'd like to have some desklets on my desktop (Arch, quite old if it matters - from 2005, IceWM). I have chosen adesklets (it's light). I have downloaded the source, compiled it, and installed it. (Almost) Everything is OK, I can run desklets, and they're showing up on my desktop...
The problem is restarting all the desklets. According to adesklets docs, it should be enough to run a desklet once, and then it should just work. When X quits, all desklets data (e.g. position) should be placed in ~/.adesklets file. Then, after restarting the X server, and invoking adesklets command, all the desklets should come back to life.
My problem is that no data is stored in ~/.adesklets file. No matter what I do, no desklet is restarting!
I have studied all the adesklets docs, and I still don't know what's wrong...
What have I tried:
a) starting a desklet from a terminal emulator by invoking command "nohup python SomeDeskletName.py" and then choosing to register it.
b) like (a), but without nohup.
c) starting a desklet directly from IceWM (with and without nohup).
Could anyone be so nice and give me some hints?

Just to be sure... It's not that I think you're silly... do not misunderstand me... Did you register the desklets as a normal user... I know that when I tried it first, I registered my desklets as root and launched a desklets as root to... so there were no desklets registered as normal user....
Just checking...
