Epson Scanner/Printer

I just installed Arch64, and really dig this distro. However, I am trying to set it up with my Epson CX4900 all in one scanner/printer. I have installed sane, xsane, and Kooka, I am having trouble installing/compiling Iscan however. On my previous openSUSE install, it uses "iscan-free" driver.

When the system boots up it correctly detects it being connected to my USB. However, when i run "sane-find-scanner" i get this message.

found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x082b [USB2.0 MFP(Hi-Speed)]) at libusb:001:002
  # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
  # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.

I am at a loss about what to do next to access this scanner.

Help appreciated, and thanks in advance.

It's OK. What does scanimage -L say? And xsane?

Re: Epson Scanner/Printer

With Arch I never managed to get iscan running with my Epson Perfection 1260 Photo. With plustek backend it's working, but I like iscan better (with epkowa backend) because it provides a faster scan and better colors in result. I would appreciate any ideas...
