firefox speed up

I decided to compile firefox with the following options -mtune=native -03 pipe. After building and installing firefox it seems extremely fast compared to the normal build. Perhaps it is worth rebuilding frequently used packages with some optimizations for specific hardware.

Is there supposed to be a hyphen prefixed to "pipe", e.g. "-O3 -pipe"?
