Re: flash+firefox

I get internet through a proxy server, and I can only browse with firefox(because I specify the proxy). Even if use export http_proxy=......, in a console I can't use internet.
So, if you know how to do this manually, please  sad .
Thank you for your reply !!!

Re: flash+firefox

download the files over ftp ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/
save them locally and then install them with pacman -U pkgname-version-rev.pkg.tar.gz

maybe you will need also other pkgs as dependences - depending what you all have installed on your system

Re: flash+firefox

or maybe proxy works, if you use wget in pacman:

add to /etc/pacman.conf

XferCommand = /usr/bin/wget -c %u

Re: flash+firefox

where do I specify   XferCommand  in pacman.conf ?
If I put it on the last line, pacaman gives an error and point to this line in pacman.conf

Re: flash+firefox

Maybe you should upgrade pacman first (only the newer versions include XferCommand support. Try wget ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/current/pacman- … pkg.tar.gz
Then pacman -U pacman-2.7.9-1.pkg.tar.gz, and then look at the /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew. It should have the XferCommand line commented. Just uncomment it.

in short, no.

People could go to macromedia site and request that they port it. May be tough luck though..
