I've installed MySQL acording to the wiki and it ran fine for that session. I did not wanted the server to start at bootup so I did not added it. I want to start it manually from the command line as a normal user. I added myself to the mysql group but it still wont start. This is the error:

Yep, works, but as a normal user I cannot start it.

that is normal. you have to start it as root (or with sudo)
