[CONTEST] Gnome 2.20 Wallpapers!

Hi this topic is to advice you that we are recruiting people to design wallpapers for gnome 2.20.
You can place your wallpapers here:
http://gnomesupport.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=21

Talented people, as karmapolice smile, are appreciated big_smile

Requirements:
1) Transparent Wallpapers (High res > 1280x1024, NOT widescreen)
2) Abstract/Simple/Minimalistic style (as OsX/Vista guidelines but with an ORIGINAL style)
3) Be Original, Vista/OSx look-a-like can't be a gnome wallpaper of course smile
4) Use gnome logo if you want, but it has to look well with the rest of the background
5) It has to look good with Gummy clearlooks style... and another one with Glossy!

Obviusly the more it is original and gnomish the more it will be considered!

If you have any question, if you don't know what is "Gummy" or "Glossy" ask here.

Post also draft if you want to have a feedback!!!

Re: [CONTEST] Gnome 2.20 Wallpapers!

Hi cimi,
Instead of using transparent png's how about having SVG that can pickup gtk colours?
You could have gtkrc like syntax something like:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<svg
  xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"
  xmlns:cc="http://web.resource.org/cc/"
  ...
  gnome-desktop:recolor="#ff0000:bg[SELECTED],#00ff00:shade(1.2,bg[NORMAL)">

then any #ff0000 would change to bg[SELECTED] and #00ff00 would change to a
lighter bg[NORMAL].

isn't it _SLOW_?

Re: [CONTEST] Gnome 2.20 Wallpapers!

I don't know. About the time it takes to render a gtk theme plus the time it takes
to show a svg image I would think. You would have to ask the nautilus devs if
it could be done but it would be more flexible than a transparent png.

Anyway hree a transparent wall. I've got the svg if you want it.
