[solved] Permissions issue with pacman 3.0.5-1

Pacman 3.0.5-1 had a bit of an issue with permissions when installing packages that contained symlinks. A well-intentioned chmod call turned permissions on some files to 777 creating a security risk. This has been fixed in pacman 3.0.5-2.

More details:
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/7461
http://archlinux.org/pipermail/pacman-d … 08579.html

That's seriuosly Problem!
I installed the base System and after Install I update to "pacman -Syu" first what was updated pacman 3.0.5-1.

Then I updated all base packages and installed KDE and many apps from the community! This all two days ago hours before pacman 3.0.5-2 was out!

After Update to pacman 3.0.5-2

I run a update "pacman -S kde jre flashplugin opera supertux k3b and more.

Now supertux has sound, the problems from kaffeine and k3b are solved now. but....... do I need to Install all new?
A clean new Install or just wait and go by the system updates?

I think in July the Kernel 2.6.22 will be out and also a new current CD from Arch. Will the rolling release Update fixing the problems related to pacman 3.0.5-1?

Thank's for the tip smile

It is recommended you reinstall any packages you have installed since upgrading to version 3.0.5-1. Use /var/log/pacman.log for this information.

I decide to Install all new sad for stay on the safe side wink
