it works fine using a live cd, but not in arch
im using a custom kernel and i dont think anything was missed in terms of support
i can only test this on one box since it has my dvd rom and dvd burner on it
the disc is fine and can be read ok by more than one machine, just not my arch box where I actually want it to work.
I searched the forums and have already asked in the channel but either no one has a dvd burner or has not tried this.
any ideas would be appreciated
btw, it is just mp3's on the data disc

I have a DVD+R writer, and have used arch to burn MP3 dvds, and it reads fine. This is my fstab.

which is your dvd burner - cdrom0 or cdrom1?
either way i have tried those same fstab entries and it didn't work
I always get this:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdroms/cdrom1,
or too many mounted file systems
what de/wm are you using and do you recall modifying any additional files?

the dvd is cdrom0. I'm using XFCE with nautilus for the desktop. I didn't do anything else to get it working.
I use iso9660 to open the data dvd (/mnt/cd2). I've never used the udf option (I guess it's for movie dvd's), as it was created by the install program.

odd, im doing things the same way except im using flux and it doesn't work.
ive even tried several different wm's and same thing.
the journey continues i suppose, its getting rather annoying tho, i have this nice dvd burner that basically just sits there now, at least i can use it for burning regular cd's
:?
update - I changed to atapi instead of scsi emulation and it mounts fine
wonder why it wont mount with scsi emulation.
