Please all: use this separate command line frontend, and install the originally pacman from repository. This is save and clean way.
After install this package they will define aliases
alias pacman="/usr/bin/pacman-color"
alias pacman.static="/usr/bin/pacman-color.static"
in /etc/profile.d/pacman-color.sh
Please don't use pacman-3.0.x.color but use package from aur

Vogo, thanks for this good work! Can't wait for it to be in the mainstream pacman...

great.. I have been waiting for this one for a long time now. Is there any news on when pacman 3.1 is going to be released? I mean an approximate time, for example 1 - 3 months?

Hi all,
pacman-color 3.1.x is in progress, it will be done next week, I hope. The first patch will be for 3.1.1 and it is compatible with gettex's translations.

I installed pacman-color from aur, but pacman doesn't show any color in it's output, is there anything I need to after installing pacman-color?
