Firefox crashes since mplayer upgrade

Hi all,
Just found out that my Firefox crashes now when trying to view video with mplayer-plugin.  I did a #pacman -Syu yesterday and noticed that mplayer upgraded with a few other things I can't recall.  Since that upgrade, every time I try to watch video (ie. CNN news videos), Firefox crashes immediately.  I googled for others having the same problem and some were having problems that they thought were caused by mplayer-plugin at the beginning of this month.  I tried uninstalling #pacman -R mplayer-plugin and rebuilding mplayer-plugin-3.4 with no success.  It just seems coincidental that this would happen after an upgrade in mplayer??  It all worked fine before.  Anyone else having this problem?

No probs here and just Syu today. But i am using a custom compiled firefox, so maybe its just the arch one?

I had problems with mplayer-plugin, too. But in another way. Mplayer-plugin 3.40 never really worked, neither before the mplayer upgrade nor after it. Firefox crashed very often.

Now I use version 3.35 of mplayer-plugin, no crashes so far.
But maybe that's not the solution you're looking for.

I uninstalled mplayer-plugin-3.4 and did a build of 3.35 and you're right, it works now.  I'll leave it at that unless someone has a more elegant solution in the future.  Thanks again.
