i see there are proprietary packages in "pacman" datadabse like Skype and other non-free content like ttf-ms-font . i do not want to install any non-free content. (Free as in free-speech: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html).
how can i stop pacman from installing proprietary and non-free content ?

1.) what if a pacman package tries to install some non-free package as a dependency ?
2.) how will know when i do "pacman -Syu" is not installing any non-free package ?

1. Use abs to rebuild the package without the dependency or install a similar package without the dependency
2. I could probably cook something up for you that uses the output of pacman -Su for pacman -Si, but I'm at work right now and have no connection to my home-box  (besides, i don't know if pacman -Si show license-info, but it's worth a shot if you're worried...)
If you want i'll see if i can cook something up tonight and post it here (it's 9:55 am here so you'd have to wait a bit ;))
