FretsOnfire - Workaround

Hi everyone, latelly i've been busy with fretsonfire game http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/, but this game has some issues with linux. hmm It has come to my attention that if the game complains something about "service not available" you should check you /etc/hosts file and i've noticed that the game usually hangs on the menus or when loading songs, so in my case i can resolve this just by "rolling the window up" (on gnome panel=>system/preferences/Windows=>just enable: Double-click titlebar to perform this action: Roll-up), and clicking outside of the window (set the game not to run in fullscreen), as this makes the window to lose focus, wait a little bit (5-10 seconds) and "Unroll the window" and click on it to gain focus again. Why does this work? yikes I don't know!, but it just works. I hope this is usefull to anybody who likes to play fretsonfire and hasn't been able to play.
