Hi,
I have two related questions about wmii:
I installed wmii with a 'pacman -S wmii' and added 'exec wmii &' (like it says on the wiki) to my .xinitrc. When I 'startx', Xorg starts but then immediately quits and I get an error that says:
wmii: missing fontset: GB2312.1980-0
wmii: missing fontset: KSC5601.1987-0
waiting for X server to shut down ixpc: cannot connect server
Do these fonts exist in some package that I haven't installed? I found that if I remove the '&', then wmii starts. Is this a mistake in the wiki?
Also, I can't find any 'wmiirc' in my '.wmii-3.5/'. I tried using the 'locate' and 'find' commands to look for it but they don't produce anything. Am I missing something? EDIT: they are here: /etc/shells/wmii-3.5/
Thanks for your help!

Did you install ruby-wmii as stated in the wiki?
pacman -S ruby-wmii
Take a look at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Configuring_wmii.

Thanks, but as far as I know, the ruby-wmii scripts don't work with the 3.5.1 version of wmii in the repository. Luckily, I stumbled across the default wmii config files in '/etc/shells/'. However, I still have my first problem to figure out.

I'm not sure why you would place "&" after the window manager. Consider leaving it off.

stuff, the fonts don't support anyways. Still the situation is
not sufficient.
From the dwm mailing list, but that doesn't make any difference. Two of the fonts listed above are the two that you get the "missing fontset" message about.
Anyway, you shouldn't have the "&" after "exec wmii".
EDIT: I've fixed that in the Wiki entry now.
