Can't set Beryl as Window Manager

Hello everybody,

i've just installed beryl.

Now i wanted to try it out, so i started "Beryl-Manager" and wanted to select Beryl as my window manager.

When i select Beryl as my window manager my screen starts to jitter for a few moments and then Metacity is still my window manager.

I didn't find a solution, hope that you can help me.

Thanks in advance

P.S. My graphic card is a geforce 6600gt

Re: Can't set Beryl as Window Manager

There is just "something" that doesn't work. Metacity is probably set as "fallback wm" so beryl switches back when it encounters an error. Please start gnome without beryl, then open a console, type "beryl-manager" as advised above and post the output. Please tell me what options you want to use for beryl and what graphcis device you are using.
Having a look in you etc/X11/xorg.conf might be helpful, too.

They say if you reverse play a Windows CD you can hear satanic verses... But wanna know what's even worse? If you forward play it, it's gonna install Windows on your system!
