Fonts are not installed properly? [solved]

Hi

I am trying to install the artwiz fonts.

I followed this wiki and this wiki. the fonts are listed by fc-list, but not by xlsfonts.

The fonts do not appear in either xfontsel or OOo, but I can use them in The Gimp or in Inkscape (though they seem buggy in the later).

I am assuming that I am doing something wrong/stupid, but would be grateful for a pointer, if someone has an idea about what that wrong/stupid thing is.

Re: Fonts are not installed properly? [solved]

this is an old wiki, now your fonts are installed in /usr/share/fonts/artwiz-fonts

I don't know if it works, but the ":unscaled" option could be added right after the artwiz font path in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf

I really don't know if this is appropriate, just suggesting.. It could look less ugly..  I know it works for DPI 100 or 75..

Re: Fonts are not installed properly? [solved]

Thanks for this
Actually, the problem was that the fonts were not appearing at all in xorg.conf.
I added them in manually, restarted X and can now use them in my terminal and other apps.

I am happy
