I installed wine 9.39 via pacman.
I installed couple of games using wine.
When I try to configure wine or run a game I get the following output:
ALSA lib conf.c:3949:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib control.c:909:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL default:0
fixme:wave:ALSA_AddCaptureDevice Add support for DSCapture
ALSA lib conf.c:3949:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 1
ALSA lib control.c:909:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL default:1
fixme:wave:ALSA_AddCaptureDevice Add support for DSCapture
I wouldn't complain if it's not affected gameplay. Now the sound is interrupting
and I get buffer underrun errors.
Why not use oss? Because in some games alsa is better.
But as far as I remember everything worked just fine in slackware.
Anyone get the same error?

I've gotten it before but the sound is fine when I got it. If you want oss, try changing it to oss under the audio tab in $winecfg.

thanks for reply.
I forgot to mention that with alsa with default config(no emulation) I get silence in games.
I installed cedega 6.0.2 and the sound is fine there(alsa and oss).
I also previously installed cvscedega.
So now I'm starting to think maybe it's some sort of conflict(between cvscedega and wine).

I lost sound with alsa in some of my games with wine 0.9.39. I think its due to all the development going on with alsa in wine recently.

btw in new version 0.9.40 some changes were made in alsa sound, the sound in games became a little better, but still no sound without emulation.
