hal daemon causes regular disk access
hello!
i found out, that the hal daemon causes regular disk access every 1-2 seconds. i can observe this problem with 2 computers. how i can found out, what it does? or: what causes these regular writings?

Is that to your harddrive?
I know hal polls my cdrom every two secs to see if a disk is inserted...

yes, these polls are to my harddrive. is there any way to increase the polls or better to deactivate this?
would also be nice to find out what hal is exactly doing.
