Wich kernelmodule to load for a realtek soundcard?

Hello,

Ik was trying to configure my soundcard but I don't know wich module I need to modprobe.
I use this guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALSA_Setup

On http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/ my soundcard isn't in the list. But I had sound on other linux distributions so maybe some of you know wich module I need to modprobe tongue

I have a realtek ALC850 8-channel card. It's an onboard card.

Thanks in advance

Re: Wich kernelmodule to load for a realtek soundcard?

Hmm if its supported the module should be inserted at boot time when MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes" in /etc/rc.conf is set to yes. Otherwise take a look at
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dow … Down=false
There are linux drivers vor HD chips like ACL850.
