How do i rename my HDD on my desktop instead of it reading "38.3 Gig Volume".
Cant find how to do it no where?

Use e2label, mlabel or other commands to set your label. Here's the list of commands for specific filesystems.
Reboot for it to make effect.

tune2fs -L label device
Edit: works for ext[2,3] filesystems only.

Yep didnt work for my fat32 drive dammit

Take the drive to a friend who uses windows? (Can't be hard to find these days )

Try mlabel (mtools package). Should work with fat.
