xcf file is included, edit it with the gimp and change the background to any other you like

Any way we could get that second one in widescreen format, 1920x1200 perhaps?

I'm not too familiar with the Gimp so I don't know if I'd be able to do it myself.

just try to create a new image in the gimp with 1920x1200 and import the layers from the original xcf file to the one you created. that's all there is to it.
