Four special keys aren't found in Arch

I have four "special" keys, all of which won't even show up with xev in Arch. They are my "Access IBM" blue button, a Volume Up button, a Volume Down button, and a Mute button. These are all on an IBM Thinkpad T41...how can I get the OS to "find" them, so I can map them to certain functions?

The module you need is ibm-acpi.  All those buttons except "access ibm" register in xev for me on a T40p.  I believe tpb (thinkpad buttons) in extra allows you to configure the access ibm button to do whatever you want when pressed.
