This is the message I get from dmesg and also during boot, it's slows down the bootprocess with 4/5 seconds.
sr0: CDROM not ready. Make sure there is a disc in the drive.
I have 2 dvd-drives working fine.
fstab:
none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom1 iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd /mnt/dvd udf ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd1 /mnt/dvd1 udf ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/fd0 vfat user,noauto 0 0
/dev/sdc1 /boot ext2 defaults 0 1
/dev/sdc2 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/sdc3 / ext3 defaults 0 1
/dev/sdc4 /home ext3 defaults 0 1
ls -l /dev/cdrom* gives me..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2007-07-09 11:55 /dev/cdrom -> /dev/cd/cdrom-sr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2007-07-09 11:55 /dev/cdrom0 -> /dev/cd/cdrom-sr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2007-07-09 11:55 /dev/cdrom1 -> /dev/cd/cdrom-sr1
Anyone?

At boot, start Arch CD with this option:
arch ide-legacy
Fixes the problem for me.

I'm not booting from CD, I'm booting an installed system.
