I've been looking for a way to open konsole from within kde without clicking my mouse. This would save me the inconvenience of removing my right hand to click, etc.
Any suggestions? I don't see any method from within the konsole settings, as they all pertain to shortcuts once the app is already running.

You can set a shortcut to open any app by going into Settings/Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility -> Keyboard Shortcuts.

You _really_ should try yakuake out! I couldn't live without yakuake in kde, or tilda/stjerm in gnome/openbox.

^indeed, that's why I suggested it instead of setting a hotkey for terminal.
I too could not live w/o it! it's my most used app.
