Where is the "cpu monitor" in fbpanel?

I am trying to configure OpenBox and fbpanel on my Arch Linux computer, and I would like to have a "CPU" monitor. I started looking in to dockapps, then I saw on the fbpanel website that it supported a "cpu monitor" directly in the panel. Except I can't find any information on it anywhere. Arch is at level 4.9 and they are at 4.11, maybe it was added too recently for us to use?

Copy the default configuration file (/usr/share/fbpanel/default) to ~/.fbpanel/ and add cpu plugin somewhere in it:

Plugin {
    type = cpu
}

You can find available plugins in /usr/share/fbpanel/plugins/

When I add that (I put it right before the clock at the end), I get a workspace number button that starts as "1". If I click it, it becomes "2", and my workspace changes to 2. It cycles from 1 to 4, then back to 1. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with "cpu". I also do not have a /usr/share/fbpanel file or directory. When I do "pacman -Qs fbpanel" it says "local/fbpanel 4.9-1". Do you have the same version?

If I put in other words instead of "cpu", I also get the workspace switcher - so I think it is defaulting to that. If I put in "type = garbage" it also creates the workspace switcher. Maybe my syntax is wrong? Mine looks just like yours.

Sorry for confusing you. I just noticed that fbpanel from community has all plugins compiled into main binary. I installed it and I also get the workspace switcher instead of cpu plugin. Normally I use my own build of fbpanel with plugins separated because I only use few of them. Cpu plugin works also as expected (with versions 4.9 and 4.11 of fbpanel). Here's my PKGBUILD

I guess that there's a problem if plugins are compiled static. You could write a note in AUR for the maintainer of fbpanel.

I used pacman to remove fbpanel, then downloaded and installed the latest one. The cpu monitor works, and the clock looks a little different.

There are two clock plugins now. The old one is called tclock, the new one (with configurable color) is called dclock.

How is the clocks color configured? I was looking through for some examples and didnt see any.

I saw an example in changelog for version 4.10.

Wow, good find! I wonder what other colors there are, other than "wheat"? I was hoping for green numbers on a black background.
