Problem with udev and 2x hard drive

Sorry for my english tongue I know it (probably) sucks.

I have 2xhdd, 80Gb and 160Gb. On the bigger one (sda) i have windows, on the smaller one (sdb) arch.

Booting 'Windows XP'

rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

Error 13:Invalid or unsupported executable format

hmm

The second problem-
If i will disconnect the windows hdd, and install arch as (hd0,0), booting stops in line while udev is loading

#Loading Udev events

.
Then it Stops or reboot... I don`t know why, previously it was working fine sad I`ve choosen only "base" from packages. I`m not sure if this it it.... but in my install configuration files after "udev" I have "pata"

And sorry if there actualy is any solution to this problems on forum. I was looking for it but couldn`t find.
