i just recently started using sonata with mpd. I just love it! But one problem...whenever I change my files in my music folder, it doesn't change in sonata. I tried running...
/etc/rc.d/mpd create-db
But the changes still don't show up. Any ideas anyone?

You could also just do a right-click in you music-folder in Sonata and hit Update.

I think if you change files in your music folder, it's enough to run `mpc update`. Dunno sonata though.

I think Sonata has an option somewhere of 'update database on sonata start' so it could check if the database was changed since the last time you started sonata.
On the other hand if you copy file in while sonata is running then you'll have to manually update the database...

Ya. Just switch to the library tab, right-click in the field and choose 'Update'. Piece of cake. On top of that there is a keyboard shortcut for it too, that works in either window of Sonata.
Don't tell us it ain't easy .
