With the latest mozilla firefox (0.8) and flash plugin (6.0r81), this page hangs the browser.

I've read somewhere
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/flash.html
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200829
that this is related to the color depth of the graphics, which should be > 16 bit. I tried with 24 bit with no results.
Do someone is experiencing the same?

I just tried it with Mozilla 1.6 and didn't experience that. I'll try with Firefox later.

Thanks both for the help...did you try moving the mouse cursor over the map (maybe is a stupid question)?

Seems to work for me just fine. (mozilla-firefox 0.8-3, flashplugin 6.0r81-2)
Application of abstract techniques and utilities to solving a particular business problem is NOT a patentable idea. It is a fundamental concept of the IT industry.

yes, and it shows some links between cities

I have only the first link shown (I heard a "click"), then the browser hangs completely.
It's really strange, because I use the same software version you use!

Ditto for Moz 1.6

I've find out, it's a sound related issue, I removed snd_via82xx module and the page works flawless. And it works as well with that module after uninstalling "esd".
So Probably it's an esd related problem.

I SOLVED!
It is a strange issue, with my integrated sound card (VIA 8237) and mozilla and esd.
Starting firefox with:
esddsp /opt/mozilla-firefox/bin/firefox
works great! But I had to remove the "Find as you type" option from FireFox!
I hope this could be useful to someone experiencing the same problem.
