File permissions

Hi,

I've just finished installing the Base setup for Archlinux and have logged in to the terminal with prompt [root@myhost ~]#

When trying to access /etc/rc.conf I receive the following message:

-bash: /etc/rc.conf: Permission denied

I'm unable to configure my system, can anybody help?

It's a conf file, not an executable.

Oh, right! Ha, that really was stupid. Just remembered about nano from earlier on in the install progress. Sorted now, Cheers.
