Updated some stuff and now samba, printing don't work

Is there a way to see what has been recently updated, so that I can downgrade back to a working system ?

I've tried to upgrade cups, samba, heimdal, etc. but I keep getting errors about missing old libraries and such.
I'd rather have a working system than one that doesn't.

I used to have samba working to access files from my Win98 machine - now there's no machine in the network neighborhood
and printing used to work but now all it says is 'printer not connected; trying again in 30 seconds'.

Thanks.

Pacman logs all of its installations in /var/log/pacman.log - as a note, you really shouldn't update just some stuff, and not others; it's best to do a full system upgrade so that all dependencies can be worked out properly.
