gqview bring system to crash

Hi,I'm having a really strange and annoying issue with gqview.
whenever i try to open an image with it,or simply when i try to run it from the command line, either as user or as superuser, gqview open up and then freezes the system.
the system is completely locked, and i have to reset it.

i've tried to re-install gqview, both from pacman and from abs,but the problem is still here.
i've searched in the system logs, and found nothing useful, except this, that show up exactly after gqview's start:
Jul 26 22:20:22 darkstar NVRM: Xid: 13, 0000 02005600 00000056 00000c28 002000f9 00000080

however i'm not sure this is related in some way with the problem.
gqview worked properly in the past, and as far as i remember,i've not made relevant updates right before the problem's start (2,maybe 3 days ago).

any clues?

Your error in the message log seems to indicate a problem with nvidia drivers...  I didn't read that thread through, but there may be some solution there.

Re: gqview bring system to crash

thanks,it seems the problem is the same. some bad behaviour of nvidia drivers.
i'll try with a downgrade of the drivers, i remember an update of nvidia drivers not a long time ago,and maybe that's the root of the problem.
thanks:)
