Hi all,
Bit of a newb question for you, but I was wondering how I would go about changing the colour of fonts printed as system messages? For example, when starting/stopping a service via rc.d, the messages printed to alert the user as to the current operations.
As you can see in the screenshot, I've restarted the samba service, and although the messages ARE present (beside the blue dots), the font colour is the same as the terminal background colour. I imagine there is a config file somewhere I can change this, but where? The other consideration I have is, if I change the font in gnomes terminal to be more contrast against white, will this affect the messages I see when Arch is starting up? They are also white, but they work on the black background of the boot sequence. I would like to be able to read both.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The colors for rc.d scripts are set in /etc/rc.d/functions -- changing them will affect both situations, gnome-terminal and boot screen.

Thanks for the info, now I need to figure out what format the colours are defined in...
