I've gotten Compiz Fusion to work, but when I install from the AUR (via yaourt - great program) I cannot use "compiz-manager". I previously used the download here to install Compiz Fusion on KDEmod, but it didn't install ccsm, ComizConfig Settings Manager. So I tried to get them from the AUR. Now I have ccsm, but now I don't have "compiz-manager" which started up compiz for me. When I type in
compiz --replace
It says
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0
Although Beryl worked fine, and "compiz-manager" did (mostly). I am using an ATI X300 card with the radeon driver (changed from fglrx for AIGLX) which works great. What command should I use to start Compiz Fusion?

I don't know if this can help, but Compiz Fusion is being maintained by someone who has put up a repository, you might find some useful feedback in this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=34028
