[solved] Where is Arch mounting my USB Pen Drive?

Hey there.

I used a lot of distros already, and usually my Hard Disk is detected as /dev/hda. However, Arch Linux has detected it as /dev/sda.

Usually, my USB Pen Drive was mounted automatically in /dev/sda.

So, where should I look for it now?

Thanks in advance.

USB storage media are always asigned the next free scsi-device in the /dev/-tree. So it should be /dev/sda if there are no other scsi devices connected. If you connect a third device /dev/sdc should be created.

If you get /dev/sdb without having /dev/sda something goes wrong. For example this can happen if you forgot to unmount /dev/sda but removed it. Even if you unmount afterwards /dev/sda will not dissapear.

If it's a usb-stick or something like that it might also depend on the media wether you get just /dev/sdb or have to use /dev/sdb1 (/dev/sdb0 in some rare occasions).

They say if you reverse play a Windows CD you can hear satanic verses... But wanna know what's even worse? If you forward play it, it's gonna install Windows on your system!
