Hi. I just installed gnome. It has weird problem, becouse when I start that gnome theme-management, gnome just crashes and I've to reboot the computer.
Don't know what's going on, but when I command "ps waux" there are thousands lines echoing "[xrdb]". Can somebody help me with this problem?
Thank you!

Do you have ESD installed / set to run when Gnome loads?
xrdb is called first by the gdm startup scripts in order to load .Xdefaults and .Xresources files, and then by gnome-settings-daemon in order to match the colors of non-GTK applications to the GTK theme (and I believe to load gnome's 'system sounds' ...)
Sometimes if you have a problem with esd / system sounds, xrdb can hang... the same thing can happen if your local loopback device isn't set to 127.0.0.1

So how I can salve that problem?
Argh, even if I start gnome by gdm, it doesn't work, xrdb-problem is still there.
