Good afternoon,
after having changed drivers for my wireless NIC D-Link DWL-G520+ (ACX111) from acx (won't work with kernel .22) to ndiswrapper I do not only experience superior transfer rates, at the same time the NIC starts to disconnect randomly and reconnects after a few seconds. It's very enerving, but I have no idea how to trace the problem back.
Any ideas? I would like to get it to work properly.
Thanks in advance

Same here... but my kernel freezes when using ndiswrapper with kernel 2.6.22.

I've been using ndiswrapper for a few years now, but i can only give you the usual recommendations;
1. downgrade kernel
2. downgrade ndiswrapper
2. use another windows driver version.
Note that as a new kernel is introduced to the repos, ndiswrapper is built against it, and thus you have to make sure that the ndiswrapper and kernel version you install will work together.
This can be remedied by using ABS of course. This way, you can build your own ndiswrapper...
You could of course use "dmesg" to look at kernel logs...

I have downgraded already, because building ndiswrapper from source didn't work. I reinstalled the windows driver, but nothing seems to work. The connection is very slow, then suddenly the card disconnects completely. I had to reload ndiswrapper driver to get it working again. But after a while the kernel just crashes and I had to do a hard reset. So I will stick with the old kernel and ndiswrapper 1.43.

btw I can't look at kernel logs because the system freezes completely...
